The social activity of Mayoka is founded at the bar and restaurant, a funky communal area with a huge sofa to disappear into, a lively friendly bar and small non-profit shop. You can borrow novels, magazines and international newspapers as well as make use of the board games and table. At Mayoka we love to encourage creativity and often have live bands, local drama groups and visiting acrobats giving performances. Friday night has become known as party night for Nkhata Bay. We put on a great show! We always have our famous Friday night BBQ and often a pool competition or some other activity. Sunday nights we have a resident band who play their own music on their home-made instruments and we put on a huge buffet of entirely traditional Malawian food.

We are very proud of the food we cook at Mayoka Village. It is on e of the areas we excel at. The menu is extensive catering equally well for vegetarians and meat lovers. All our food is cooked from locally grown vegetables and our own herb garden, with lots of love and care. We are famous for our buffet specials which always feature creative dishes, great flavours and good value for money.
